The Redskin Relays made their return to Wapakoneta on Friday after not being held in 2020 due to COVID protocols.

Nine teams were part of the field. Shawnee finished first in the boys competition with 90 points, with Marysville (83) second and Bellefontaine (57) third. The Redskins earned 18 points to finish eighth.

For the girls, Anna had 86.5 points to claim first place. Marysville (83) was second, and Ottawa-Glandorf (55) took third. The Lady Redskins scored 33.5 points and placed sixth.

Besides those mentioned, others competing included New Haven, Defiance, and Elida.

The Wapakoneta girls finished third in the 4x100 (53.10); fifth in the 800m sprint medley; fifth in the 4x800 (11:32.76); and fourth in the 4x200. 

Kali Kohler and Kyleigh Engle were part of a five-way tie for fourth in the high jump. Kohler was fifth and Rylee Cannon sixth in the long jump.

For the boys, the 4x100 team was fifth (45.79); the 800m sprint medley was fourth (1:38.49); the 4x400 squad finished third (3:38.12); 

Collin Lenhart, Jackson Courter and James Rankins were part of a large group tied for seventh in the high jump.

Rankins tied for eighth in the long jump.
