COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its football postseason pairings Sunday.

In Division III Region 12, Wapakoneta (8-2 overall) is seeded sixth and will host No. 11 Dayton Dunbar (4-3) in a first-round game at 7 p.m. Friday at Harmon Stadium.

The Redskins have won six consecutive games entering their matchup against the Wolverines, who have had three contests cancelled in 2021. Dunbar is headed to Wapakoneta after winning four of its last five games.

Other first-round games in Division III Region 12 — in bracket order —  include No. 16 Vandalia Butler (3-6) at No. 1 Hamilton Badin (9-0), No. 9 Lima Shawnee (6-4) at No. 8 Cincinnati Hughes (6-1), No. 13 Dayton Chaminade Julienne (3-5) at No. 4 Hamilton Ross (7-2), No. 12 Franklin (4-6) at No. 5 St. Mary’s Memorial (8-2), No. 14 Trotwood-Madison (4-5) at No. 3 Bellbrook (8-2), No. 10 Cincinnati Mount Healthy (6-4) at No. 7 Tipp City Tippecanoe (8-2) and No. 15 Kettering Archbishop Alter (5-5) at No. 2 Monroe (8-2).

With a win over Dunbar, Wapakoneta would advance to the Region 12 quarterfinals, where the Redskins would play the winner of the game between Bellbrook and Trotwood-Madison at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at a place to be determined.

For the second consecutive season, Waynesfield-Goshen has qualified for the Division VII Region 26 playoffs.

The Tigers (8-2) are seeded eighth and will host No. 9 Sycamore Mohawk (5-5) in a first-round game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Waynesfield-Goshen High School.

WGHS enters the playoffs by winning five of their last six games, while the Warriors are 4-1 in their last five contests after a 1-4 start that included a four-game losing streak.

Other first-round games in Division VII Region 26 — in bracket order — include No. 16 Dola Hardin Northern (6-4) at No. 1 Bascom Hopewell-Loudon (9-1), No. 13 Arlington (8-2) at No. 4 McComb (9-1), No. 12 Defiance Ayersville (6-3) at No. 5 Leipsic (7-3), No. 14 Convoy Crestview (6-4) at No. 3 Lima Central Catholic (8-2), No. 11 Lima Perry (6-4) at No. 6 McGuffey Upper Scioto Valley (9-1), No. 10 Hamler Patrick Henry (6-4) at No. 7 Antwerp (8-2) and No. 15 Spencerville (5-5) at No. 2 Edon (9-1).
