COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced on Thursday that the state football championship games will be played in a different location due to COVID-19.
The games were set to be played at Fortress Obetz, located in Franklin County. They will now be played at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon.
Earlier this week, the OHSAA adjusted the starting times of the games to ensure that they end by 10 p.m. in order to comply with the state health department's recommended curfew.
Two games will be played Friday, two on Saturday, and two on Sunday.
Division VII — John F. Kennedy (9-2) vs. New Bremen (9-2), 1:15 p.m.
Division II — Massillon Washington (10-1) vs. Archbishop Hoban (10-0), 6:15 p.m.
Division V — Ironton (11-0) vs. Kirtland (10-0), 1:15 p.m.
Division III — Chardon (11-0) vs. St. Francis DeSales (9-1), 6:15 p.m.
Division IV — Lake Catholic (8-2) vs. Van Wert (10-1), 12:15 p.m.
Division VI — Coldwater (11-0) vs. Springfield (11-0), 5:15 p.m.
