CANTON — The contingent from Wapakoneta competed in the Division II state swim meet on Thursday afternoon at the C.T. Branin Natatorium. All events were finals, with no preliminaries held due to COVID-19 protocols.

NAPOLEON -- The Wapakoneta boys swim team captured the Western Buckeye League title at the meet on Saturday, with the Lady Redskins earning second place.
Wapakoneta paid a visit to Bath on Friday night, and the Wildcats defended their turf and then some, handing the Redskins a 50-35 defeat in Western Buckeye League action.
Wapakoneta and Lima Central Catholic battled through regulation and a couple of extra sessions on Tuesday, with the Thunderbirds eventually leaving with a 74-71 victory.
LIMA — The Wapakoneta wrestling team just kept on rolling on Thursday night as they travelled to Shawnee and defeated the Indians in convincing fashion, 61-18. It was their sixth straight win in dual meets and ran their Western Buckeye League dual meet record to 3-1.
