Wapak loses share of first place in league

The Wapakoneta Redskins lost their share of first place in the Western Buckeye League standings Tuesday after a 2-0 defeat against the Celina Bulldogs in varsity girls soccer action.

Bath, with a 2-1 victory Tuesday over St. Marys, is now alone atop the league standings with a 4-0-1 record as Tuesday's league games represented the midway point of the nine-game WBL schedule.

Wapakoneta and Ottawa-Glandorf are tied for second place with 3-1-1 league records. Those two teams play each other Oct. 1.

The Redskins (7-1-1) have zero goals in their last two games after playing a scoreless tie Thursday against Bath.
