Schlosser to lead '18 United Way campaign

United Way of Auglaize County announced former United Way Board of Trustees President Brian Schlosser has agreed to serve as the 2018 Countywide Campaign Chair. 

“Every year we are tasked with selecting someone with the energy, passion and leadership skills to inspire our county to give, advocate and volunteer. In Brian Schlosser, we couldn’t ask for a more engaged and passionate advocate” said United Way of Auglaize County Executive Director Randy Fisher.

“On behalf of our board, volunteers and staff, I can’t express how truly grateful we are for Brian’s service to our community” Fisher added.

Schlosser, who owns and operates Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Wapakoneta with his wife Jennifer, serves as Fiscal Officer of Pusheta Township and has a history of volunteering for many community organizations. He is currently the Fire Chief of the St. Johns Volunteer Fire & Rescue, a Past President of the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce and is active in Wapakoneta Sertoma Club.

“I never realized how many people who are affected by United Way Agencies until I served on the board. After seeing firsthand how the money raised in Auglaize County goes to help Auglaize County families, I’m honored to be a part of such a vital organization” Schlosser said.
