Redskins swimmers win first home meet

WAPAKONETA — The Wapakoneta swim teams hosted their first home meet of the 2019-20 season on Monday, competing against Indian Lake, Bluffton, St. Marys, and Ben Logan at the Wapakoneta YMCA.
The Redskins finished with 840 points to take first place. Indian Lake was second with 435, followed by St. Marys (367), Ben Logan (332) and Bluffton (137).
Individual winners for the Wapakoneta boys were Alex Honigford in the 200 yard free, Nate Metzger in the 50 and 100 free, Nate Miller in the 100 yard butterfly, Grant Honigford in the 500 free, and Aidan Schneider in the 100 backstroke.
For the Lady Redskins, individuals taking first place were Kalie Miller in the 200 free, Elizabeth Gesler in the 50 free, Paige Schneider in the 100 yard butterfly, and Madelyn Moody in the 500 free,
