Redskins net huge win over Shawnee

On Tuesday the Wapakoneta Redskins took down the Shawnee Indians, who have shared or won each of the last eight Western Buckeye League championships.

The Redskins prevailed in a home match, 3-2, on the Rotary Courts at Wapakoneta High School.

Entering the contest, Shawnee — which owns 23 out of 60 WBL titles — had 200 fewer league losses all time compared to Wapakoneta.

According to, the Indians' loss Tuesday was only their 23rd all time in league matches in more than 38 seasons of WBL competition.
