The Wapakoneta Redskins raced out to a 6-0 lead after three innings en route to an 8-3 win Friday against the Defiance Bulldogs.

The victory put the Redskins at 7-0 in the Western Buckeye League after the varsity game against the second-place Bulldogs.

Wapakoneta's Blasia Moyler crushed a solo home run to left-center field in the first inning. She and Brooke Schlenker had two RBIs each.

Redskins junior stud pitcher Megan Fisher gave up a season-high three runs to Defiance. Five of Wapakoneta's eight runs were earned against the Bulldogs' Brooklyn Miller.

The Redskins can clinch the WBL title outright Tuesday with a win in a road game against winless Ottawa-Glandorf.
