Optimist carnival a day for all kids
The Wapakoneta Noon Optimist Club will be helping everyone beat the heat this week, as they once again host their Carnival at the Waterpark on Wednesday.
From 12-4 p.m., there will be plenty of chances to keep cool with water-themed games, drawings, and prizes up for grabs at the Wapakoneta Waterpark, located on Hamilton Rd.
The carnival brings back some of the favorite games of years past, including plink, fishing for sharks, kiddie basketball, and duck pond.
The Optimists are also reuniting with the Wapakoneta Fire Department, who will be returning for a second time to teach carnival-goers about water safety.
Regular Waterpark admission is required, but all games, as well as pretzels, water, and kool-aid will be provided by the club.
