Locals run well at state cross country

HEBRON — Local athletes had a good showing at the 2019 Division III cross country meet on Saturday.
On the boys' side, Botkins continued the Trojans' outstanding fall by earning a 10th place finish.
For the girls, freshman Taylor Spencer of Waynesfield-Goshen capped off a great year by placing sixth as an individual competitor. Her time was 18:49.
The Trojans had a team score of 251.
For the Trojans, sophomore Collin Watterson placed 14th with a time of 16:40. Next was junior Alan Fullenkamp (30th, 17:01), then freshman Keaton Schnippel (67th, 17:45), junior Donovan Brown (68th, 17:46.3) and senior Elliot Goubeaux (72nd, 17:46.5).
Also running were freshman Carter Pleiman (105th, 18:14) and sophomore Cole Steinke (125th, 18:46).
