Local eateries expect to be busy Sunday

Although LaGrande Pizza & Subs is not offering any specials this Super Bowl Sunday, it is sure to be a fun environment for friends to enjoy the game and some food.

LaGrande manager Shannan Peachey said Sunday is usually a busy day for the business, but this Sunday should see a bit of an increase.

"We don't really run any specials, we do get a nice crowd in here anyway," she said. "A lot of friends will come in and sit at the bar andwatch it, but nothing too crazy here. Usually business as usual, plus a little extra."

While there is no guessing at the number of people who will actually come in to dine and watch the Broncos battle the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, Peachey believes there will probably be a spike in deliveries.

"We'll probably have more deliveries for hot wings and boneless wings," she said. "I'm sure those orders will probably increase, but it’ll be pizza and appetizers for most people (in the restaurant) I'm sure."

Owner of Al's Woody’s, Allison DuBois, said they usually see an increase in their carryout and delivery orders, and they are running a special this year for carryout and delivery.

The special is one 18-inch, 3-topping pizza and 10 wings for $24.99.
