The Wapakoneta Performing Arts Center was filled with sparkly dresses, dancing and singing Saturday, as several schools competed in the 2016 Music and More show choir competition.

The event lasted all day. Awards were handed out at the end of the night. While Piqua High School secured the first place trophy, coming in second was Marion Harding High School, third was Teays Valley High School, fourth was Hamilton High School and fifth went to Middletown High School.

Because they were hosting the event, WHS Singsation members did not compete, but they gave the final performance of the night. Their show is called “Louder than Words” and includes several songs. WHS student Liam Martell was named best performer.
