Fort Loramie eliminates Botkins in playoffs

Every time Botkins needed to build just a little bit more momentum, it seemed like they couldn’t quite make the play they needed to get over the hump.
In a rubber match between league rivals, Fort Loramie defeated Botkins 49-35 in the Division IV sectional final on Friday.
Botkins finishes the season at 18-7, while Loramie (17-7) advances to play the winner of Cedarville and Franklin Monroe at Vandalia Butler.
“The ball bounced their way tonight. We felt like we had some good looks early in the game and missed layups and it’s hard to battle back like that and the kids know what is at stake. Loramie is never going to give you anything easy,” said Botkins coach Sean Powell.
