Final plat is approved

The Rolling Hills Estates final plat plan was OK’d by a 1-vote margin Monday, after an hour long discussion that included water drainage, ditch petitions and pond engineering.

Meeting Monday in a special session, the Wapakoneta Planning Commission, which had tabled the request for approval of the final plat last month after a letter from Auglaize County Doug Reinhart was read that questioned the retention pond and its overflow structure. Since that meeting, Reinhart met with city officials as well as deveolper David Schlenker and his engineer, Scott Strahley, with Kohl and Kaliher Associates in Lima, to address his concerns about water and storm runoff.
