Wapakoneta City Council’s Lands and Building Committee members will recommend the city move forward with selling about an acre of land at the south end of Pine Street to Randy LaMarr Sr., a move that is intended to help solve a little bit of the parking issue on that street.

LaMarr is buying some property from Ken and Linda Kantner in that neighborhood, and wants to improve the lot at 812 S. Pine by constructing a concrete driveway; purchasing that triangle shaped piece of land from the city allows the property line to be squared off, which in turn will make it possible to construct a drive to the garage on the south side of the property. LaMarr told committee members he intends to also improve the garage at the site to allow the resident’s van be parked under cover, and not on the street. The drive will also allow a car access to off street parking.
