Betty L. Sheipline, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:30 p.m., April 15, 2014, at Otterbein Cridersville. She was born May 25, 1923, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Walter and Francis (Kupper) Vossler, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 3, 1948, she married Harry E. Sheipline, and he died July 10, 1988.
Survivors include, two children, Christine (Fred) Seipel, of Piqua, and Jennifer (John) Eilerman, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Amy (Bryan) Schlenker, Todd (Terri) Kohlrieser and Jarid (Shawna) Kohlrieser; five great-grandchildren, Seirs Stanley, Brooke Schlenker, Jackson Kohlrieser, Abigail Kohlrieser and Guy Kohlrieser; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Vossler, and a sister, Marie Kupper.
Betty worked in the Wapakoneta Schools cafeterias, and retired from Cridersville Elementary cafeteria. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta. Her other memberships included the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, Brands Lake Fishing Club, and the American Legion Post #330, Auxiliary. She also served as Auglaize County Democratic Committee Woman. Her hobbies included cooking, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta, with Rev. Daniel Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Monday, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, state Route 501, Wapakoneta. Memorials may be directed to the St. Joseph Funeral Dinner Ministry.
