The Auglaize County Fair Board met Monday night to wrap up meetings for 2013 and hear several different committee reports. Members heard reports on updated electrical service throughout the campgrounds.
“The in-ground service has been put in and now we are finishing up the boxes and so forth,” Fair Secretary Fred Piehl said. “We are getting a jump on it now rather than waiting for spring.”
There are other ongoing electrical upgrades going on throughout the fairgrounds as well. The board also heard reports on contracts signed with talent and entertainment for the 2014 Auglaize County Fair.
“We signed contracts for the Earthquakers,” Piehl said. “We get a lot of requests for them and they will be back for this coming fair on the Friday night.”
Another local favorite, Barnyard Express educational farm animal display, will also be back for 2014.
“We haven’t had them for a couple years,” Piehl said. “We get a lot of requests for them, too.”
