The Wapakoneta Redskins were swept by the Findlay Trojans on Tuesday at the University of Findlay, in the season opener for high school swimming and diving.
Findlay won the girls meet, 102-78, and the boys meet, 132-52.
Recording a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly was Wapakoneta senior Taylor Law, who finished with a time of 1 minute, 8.17 seconds to score six points.
Taylor Hager won the 100 yard butterfly in a time of 1:08.17 and took second in the 50 yard free with a time of 29.25.
The Redskins had a winning 200 freestyle relay team, consisting of junior Josie Miller, Law, sophomore Sierra Sammons and Hager. Those four finished the relay with a time of 1:49.5.
Wapak also finished second in the 200 free, as freshman Jordyn Law, freshman Mya Hager, sophomore Hannah Davis and freshman Maddie Bayne had a time of 1:56.86.
Jordyn Law and Miller tied for second place in the 200 free, each with times of 2:12.69.
Miller (57.43), Sammons (59.54) and Jordyn Law finished second through fourth in the 100 free.
The Redskins also occupied spots two through four in the 100 backstroke, represented by junior Haley Kinstle (1:09.5), junior Julia Pepple (1:12.66) and Mya Hager (1:12.7)
Davis (6:24.63) was second in the 500 yard free.
With a score of 133.6 in the 1-meter dive, Wapak freshman Katie Askins was runner-up out of two divers.
Redskins sophomore Charlie Sutton was second in the 50 yard free with a time of 23.68 and second again in the 100 yard backstroke at 1:05.32.
Wapak freshman Ryan Schneider (1:03.82) placed second in the 100 yard butterfly.
Redskins senior Kaleb Miller (58.76) took second in the 100 free.
Taking second and third in the 100 breaststroke for Wapak were junior Hayden Metzger (1:12.96) and sophomore Wesley Ruedebusch (1:14.18).
The Redskins will resume their season Saturday when they head to the Mason Invitational starting at 9 a.m.
