Cheryl Ann Teets, 61, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013.
Cheryl Ann Hurley was born, in Lima, on Nov. 19, 1951. She was one of four children born to the union of the late Betty (Richardson) and the late Donald Hurley. Cheryl was a graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. She married the love of her life, Michael Teets, on March 25, 1988, in Toledo.
Cheryl was fun and friendly. One couldn’t mistake that for weakness, however, because she was also very headstrong and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Cheryl liked to stay busy. She enjoyed decorating and crafts. Her home was always adorned with multiple plants and flowers. Cheryl also never missed the opportunity to put up a holiday display.
For many years Cheryl was employed as a rural letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. She worked from their Temperance office and was looking forward to retiring in January of 2014.
Cheryl absolutely adored her grandchildren. She liked to take them shopping and play games with them. Visiting McDonald’s was a favorite outing. Cheryl loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with her family. An avid baker and cook, Cheryl looked forward to having more time to spend in the kitchen upon her looming retirement.
Cheryl Ann Teets, 61 of Erie, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her mother-in-law: Lois Teets.
