Faris L. “Fuzzy” Earl, 85, of Waynesfield, died at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence.
Faris was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Waynesfield, to Clarice Vane (Focht) and Victor Vernon Earl, and they preceded him in death. On July 17, 1948, in Nuremberg, Germany, he married Zita Vogl. and she survives in Waynesfield.
Also surviving are three daughters, Barbara Earl, of Waynesfield, Elaine (Ted) Bear, of Elida, and Nancy (Ron) Wildermuth, of Ada; a brother, M. Kenneth Earl, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by two, brothers Carl Earl and Paul Earl.
Fuzzy was of the Baptist Faith, and was retired as a truck driver after 37 years with Duff Trucking in Lima. He was a 1945 graduate of Waynesfield High School and served in the U.S. Army both in World War II and Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 1275 in Lima and Waynesfield American Legion Post 395.
Private graveside services will be held at Willowbranch Cemetery in Waynesfield, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating with full military honors by VFW Post 1275.
Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield is handling arrangements.
