Mary Vail McCoy, 91, of Lima, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
She was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Cleveland, the daughter of Cretora (Hay) and George S. Vail, who preceded her in death. On May 18, 1962, she married Glenn W. McCoy, who died July 1, 1995, in Lima.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann (Robert) Parkinson, of Columbus; two grandchildren, Christopher (Falan) Parkinson, of Solon, and Jessica Parkinson, of Columbus; a great-grandson, Dylan Parkinson; a step-daughter, Kathleen Royer, of Goshen, Ind.; and a step- granddaughter, Anne Griffith, of Goshen, Ind.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Colt, of Iola, Kan., and Nancy Moulton, Lima.
Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker. She was a 1938 graduate of Lima Central High School and attended Lake Erie College in Painesville.
She was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Lima Junior Service League and the Modern Mothers Club.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Market Street Presbyterian Church in Lima, with the Rev. Dottie Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church in the Williamsburg room.
Contributions may be made to the church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
