Murlin George Doseck, 78, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:48 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born April 26, 1934, near Minster, the son of Julianna (Behr) and Christopher Doseck, who preceded him in death. On July 23, 1960, he married Marilyn S. Debell, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Brenda K. (Tony) Zaborowicz, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren; Bryan (Kelly) Wheeler, Jessica (Jonathon) Lambert, and Robert Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Madison K. Wheeler, Azia K. Lambert, and Noah W. Lambert; a son-in-law, Ed (Bonnie) Sparks, of Marysville; five brothers, Sam (Henrietta) Doseck, of Fort Loramie, Donald (Agnes) Doseck, of Botkins, Wilbur (Linda) Doseck, of Wapakoneta, Fred (Connie) Doseck, of Clearwater, Fla., and Mike (Carla) Doseck, of Botkins; and two sisters, Dorothy (Gilbert) Braun, of Sidney, and Mary (David Edwards) Cartwright, of Sidney.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Doseck Sparks; and a brother, Robert Doseck.
Murlin retired in 1994 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys after 30 years of service. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta. His other memberships included the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 691 in Wapakoneta, and the Senior Citizen Center in Sidney. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, but most especially shooting pool.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post 8445.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
