Juanita E. Cockerell Robinson Turner, 91, of Rochester Hills, Mich. and formerly of Cridersville, died at 6:07 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Waltonwood Assisted Living in Rochester Hills, Mich.
She was born April 5, 1920, in Springfield. She is the daughter of the late Walter and Fannie Rich Cockerell. On May 11, 1957 she married Cyrus Arthur Turner who died March 26, 2003.
Mrs. Turner was retired from the Ex-Cello Corporation/Textron where she worked with in quality control for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
For a long time she had been the secretary of the UAW retirement dinners. She enjoyed reading, loved to travel, and treasured time spent with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. (Barbara) Robinson, of Reading, Calif., and Arthur E. Turner, of Lake Orion, Mich.; a daughter, Sandra Sue Robinson (Lonnie) Prater, of Lake Orion, Mich.; a step son, Merrill Eugene Turner, of Springfield, Ill.; two step daughters, Maralene Faye Turner Kerns, of Wapakoneta, and Sandra Sue Turner (Ron) Lytle, of Lima; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Cockerell, Don Cockerell, and Alvie Cockerell.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with the pastor James C. Couser officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to services at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
