Beulah M. “Red” Rupert, 76, of Lima,, died at 10:50 a.m. Friday at her home.
She was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Ada, the daughter of Belle Mary Mathewson and Floyd Almon. Both parents are deceased. On Nov. 26, 1954, she married James Edwin “Jim” Rupert, who died March 21, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Darrel (Jane) Rupert, of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Carol (Ron) Lamb, of Elida, Kathy (Mark) Page, of Lima, and Laura “Poke” (Sam) Wilson, of Lima; 12 grandchildren, Larry (Lindsay) Rupert, Stephen Rupert, Cecelia (Alex) Webb, Shonda (Julian) Tezna, Greg Lamb, Jeff Lamb, Marcie (Nate) Cooper, Michael (Christina) Page, Angie Brown, Chris (Jamie) Brown, James Gibson and David Gibson; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five siblings, Leo Branan, Pauline LaRue, Alta Belle Badertscher, Mabel Weber and Goldie Price.
She was a homemaker and had been a sales clerk at the Leader Store. She was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church and the Auxiliary of Eagles Lodge Aerie 370. She enjoyed gospel music, crossword puzzles, playing cards and garage sales.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Jerry Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
