Norma K. Sensabaugh Garn, 69, of Wapakoneta, and formerly of Spencerville and Erie, Pa., died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta, where she had resided since April 1.
She was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Sardinia, the daughter of Joy (Stotler) and Normal “Popeye” Sensabaugh, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 20, 1979, she married Kaye Garn and he died June 23, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Scott Cook and Dan (Lori) Cook; two grandchildren, David Cook, of Richman, Ill., Dawn Ruppert of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three brothers, Elmer Sensabaugh, of Spencerville, Phil (Hope) Sensabaugh, of Wapakoneta, Jim (Penny) Sensabaugh, of Spencerville; and two sisters, Jane (Max) Meyer, of Spencerville, and Barb (Jim) Oehlhof, of Wapakoneta.
She was a 1960 graduate of Spencerville High School and worked as a secretary with the Reliance Life Company in Cincinnati and Erie, Pa. as a supervisor for 12 years. She later worked at Star Carpet in Lima for six years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Private family services will be held at a later date, the Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating.
There will be no visitation.
