Mark T. Lee, 56, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at home after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 14, 1955, in Lima, to Alvaretta Lee and Ralph Avery Sr., who are both deceased. He was raised by Alvareetta’s brother and sister-in-law, Marion “Bud” and Betty Lee, who are both deceased. He married Vija (Hahn) Lee, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Cory M. (Cheryl) Lee, of Spencerville; two grandsons, Brandon Lee and Hunter Lee, of Spencerville; six brothers, Kenneth D. Gruber, of Lima, Marion J. (Bugsy) Lee Jr., of Lima, Robert (Kathy) Kanorr, of Harrod, Rick Kanorr, of Wapakoneta, Kevin Kanorr, of Cantonment, Fla., and Ralph (Linda) Avery, of Alger; eight sisters, Jodie A. Lee, of Elida, Debra Hook (Dick Wooley), of Buckland, Kathy (Pat) Gallimore, of Wapakoneta, Angela Kanorr, of Wapakoneta, Beverly (Don) Comer, of Wapakoneta, Sue Avery Kline, of Sharonville, April (Tom) Crisenberry, of Lima, and Kelly Avery Popolokies, of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Keith Kanorr, Daron Kanorr, Terry Avery, Shawn Lee, and Fred D. Gruber.
He worked for Flexible Foam in Spencerville. He also worked for Clark Equipment, Shellar Globe, and J.B. Tool until their closing. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and travel. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, son and daughter-in-law, and his two wonderful grandsons who put a sparkle in his eyes. He enjoyed any and all family get-togethers and had a kind word for all he spoke to.
Services are 7:30 p.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, the Rev. Herb Wilker officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and noon to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or to St. Rita’s Hospice.
