KENTON — Anyone who thought the Wapakoneta Redskins varsity wrestling team was in a rebuilding season might want to reconsider that notion.
Wapak continued its dominance of Western Buckeye League Wrestling with a sweep of dual meets against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans and Kenton Wildcats on Tuesday at Kenton High School.
The Redskins thumped O-G 60-15 before crushing Kenton 69-12.
The wins lifted Wapak to 9-0 in WBL duals for the season.
The Redskins have not lost a WBL dual since the 2008-09 season. They are 27-0 over the past three seasons and 35-1 over the past four.
Wapak will defend its WBL title at the league tournament Saturday, Feb. 11 at Defiance High School.
