Wilma Wells, 97

Wilma J. (Shaw) Wells, 97, 3003 W. Cisco Road, Sidney, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1915, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of the late Louella (Metz) and Marvin Shaw.
In 1953, she married Wayne Wells, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Heil; nine nieces and nephews, Junior Shaw, Jean Ellen McKinley, Dr. Darlene Shaw, Tom Shaw, Susan Deeter, Linda Freeman, June Harrison, Doug Burdette, and Wayne Burdette; and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Spike Shaw; and a sister, Treva Hulsmeyer.
Funeral services are to be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Oliver & Peg Amos Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, S.C.
The family plans to receive friends Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Amos Chapel.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Wilma’s memory to Dorothy Love’s Spiritual Life Endowment Fund.
