With Wapakoneta city administrators officially receiving word Thursday from Ohio Department of Transportation officials, Wapakoneta City Council now has the power to decide if a section of West Auglaize Street to be reconstructed in 2014 will be 37 feet or 39 feet wide.

During his report to councilors, Mayor Rodney Metz announced he received a letter Thursday permitting the shorter width. City officials designed the street to be 39 feet wide, meeting requirements councilors cited as being imposed by ODOT engineers.
