Warren Loy, 88

Warren Walter Loy, 88, of Hunstville, formerly of Botkins, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1924, in Kettlersville, the son of the late Laura (Sollman) and Walter Loy. On Sept. 21, 1947, at the Sidney First Methodist Church, he married Jeanne Ferguuson Loy, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Ann) Loy, of Botkins, and Randy (Jackie) Loy, of Bellefontaine; three daughters, Cyndy (Bill) Decker, of Columbus, Annette (Lynn) Elsass, of Wapakoneta, and Anna (Paul) Nichols, of Botkins; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Braun, of Botkins, Doris (Bob) Westerbeck, of Shelbyville, Ind., and Marilyn (Jim) North, of Montoursville, Pa.; a brother-in-law, George Kratt, of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Kratt.
Warren was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, having served during World War II. A book-keeper by trade, he worked at Provico where he was President from 1969 to 1989 and then went on to be Chairman of the Board. He was also Director of Sidney Bank One from 1971 to 1984, a member of the National Grain & Feed Board of Directors, the American Feed Manufacturers Association Board of Directors, and was a member of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
Warren was a member of the Indian Lake Community Church where he was active in the Mens Club. In his spare time, Warren enjoyed golfing, boating and traveling.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Indian Lake Community Church, with the Revs. Jim Ellington and Karen Blackburn officiating. Private family burial will be at Loramie Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myron Van Horn Chapel of Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home in Lakeview.
