Wapakoneta’s Henderson receives honorable mention

The Wapakoneta Redskins had one representative on the All-Western Buckeye League teams for the 2013-14 varsity boys basketball season, as the WBL named its all-league rosters Saturday.

Redskins junior post Adam Henderson was chosen as an honorable mention performer for this season.

The Redskins were 5-18 overall and 2-7 in the WBL under first-year coach Doug Selvey. They finished eighth in the league this winter.

Elida’s Dakota Mathias won the WBL Player of the Year award.

Defiance and Elida split the league championship this season.

Player of the Year: Dakota Mathias, Elida.

Second Team
Colin Gossard, Bath; Logan Delong, Celina; Louis Gray, Elida; Isaac Fitzgerald, St. Marys; Connor Holliday, Van Wert.

Third Team
Andrew Renner, Bath; Mason Ross, Celina; Austin Phillips, Kenton; Alex Schroeder, Ottawa-Glandorf; Nathan Wilker, St. Marys; Jaden O’Neal, Shawnee; Matt Bidlack, Van Wert.

Honorable Mention
