Wapak squeezes out win over Greenville, 172-174

On their home course for the second straight day, the Wapakoneta Redskins boys golf team squeezed out a tight win, 172-174, over the Greenville Big Green in varsity action at the Wapakoneta Country Club.

Drew Wayman and Bobby Crow each shot 41 to lead the Redskins. Nick Bruns and Jared Miller carded 45 each to finish Wapak’s scoring. Ryan Hunlock shot a 46 and Alex Gossard had a 48.

Greenville’s Dylan Garland was the match medalist with a 37. Jason Shields (44), Zach Hounshell (46) and Kevin Kert (47) finished Greenville’s scoring.

Wapak will return the Wapakoneta Country Club at 5 p.m. Thursday for a Western Buckeye League match against Elida.
