Wapak man hurt in wrong-way crash

Troopers with the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigate Friday’s collision near St. Marys.

ST. MARYS — A motorist traveling the wrong way from a rest area collided with a bus in the westbound lane of U.S. 33 near St. Marys on Friday morning, leaving six people injured.
According to a trooper’s report from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:23 a.m. Friday, Terence K. Kaiser, 46, of Celina, exited the rest area on the north side of U.S. 33, traveling east in the wrong direction in a 1994 tan Chevy Lumina when the vehicle collided with a westbound 2003 white Ford E-450 bus driven by Jason M. Germann, 38, of Wapakoneta, east of the westbound rest area near Glynwood-New Knoxville Road.
