W-G OKs supplemental contracts

WAYNESFIELD — At its regular board meeting Monday night, the Waynesfield-Goshen Board of Education accepted the supplemental contracts of two assistant coaches, as well as the employment of four tutors.

The contracts of assistant softball coach Damien Dyer and assistant baseball coach Stuart Spencer were approved at the appropriate level of the adopted supplemental salary schedule for the 2013-14 school year.

Tiffany Zechman, Molly Burnell and Amy Little were appointed as Reading Club and Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) tutors. Janice Wical will be employed as an elementary tutor for the remainder of the 2013-14 school year.

The board resolved to congratulate the 2013-14 W-G girls varsity basketball team for their Northwest Central Conference (NWCC) league championship and to several girls who received individual awards.

Emily Patton was named first-team all NWCC and second-team all district. Abbie VanHorn, Sydney Buffenbarger and Kenzie Jarnagin were each named second-team all NWCC. Lidia Turner and Chelsea Spencer were named as honorable mentions.
