Virginia Fry, 93

Virginia V. Fry, 93, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Logan Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Blanche (McCord) and William Cook, who preceded her in death. On June 20, 1940, she married Robert E. Fry, and he died Sept. 25, 2008.
Surviving are three sons, Robert E. (Carla) Fry Jr., of Columbus, OH, David W. (Donna) Fry, of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Mark D. Fry, of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Bryan (fiancée Amanda Jacobs) Fry, of Columbus, Bradley (Janine) Fry, of Essen, Germany, Alyssa Fry, of Columbus, Jennifer Fry, of Scottsdale, Ariz, Lori Fry, of San Diego, Calif., and Justin Fry, of Wapakoneta; two great-grandchildren, Lukas Fry, of Essen Germany, and Austin Fry, of Essen, Germany; and a brother, Kenneth Cook, of Lima.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Doris Brookhart, Norma Doering, Donna Place, and Mary Helen Cook.
A homemaker, Virginia was a member of the Buckland United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed participating in the CCC Sunday school class and serving as Sunday school pianist. She was a 1936 graduate of Buckland High School, and enjoyed doing hand work, traveling, and being with her family.
Services are at 2 p.m. p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Adrian Sunday officiating. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
