Staff photo/William Laney By CARLA MEYER Staff Writer For 45 minutes, the roar of motorcycles could be heard passing under an American flag hanging from two ladder trucks. For 45 minutes, area residents gathered in the shadow of the Auglaize County Courthouse and Wapakoneta Fire Station waved and clapped as motorcyclists rode by. The smiles and waves turned into clapping and cheers as the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall passed down Willipie Street on its way to Custenborder Field in Sidney where it was greeted by a field of American flags.

By MATT NICHOLS Staff Writer Another individual among the two dozen arrested in a December drug sting is going to spend time behind bars, and two others are ready to plea. Natasha M. Pruitt, 21, 105 Lynn St., St. Marys pleaded guilty Monday in the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court to one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. In a negotiated plea agreement, two fourth-degree felony counts of trafficking in drugs were dismissed upon completion of sentencing. Pruitt faces a maximum sentence of 2 1/2 years in prison and a $7,500 fine. Under the original indictment, Pruitt faced a maximum sentence of 5 1/2 years in prison and a $17,500 fine.
Brian K. Whittemire, 46, 1302 E. Spring St., St. Marys, was scheduled for a change of plea hearing at 11 a.m. April 1. Whittemire is charged with three counts of sale of dangerous drugs, third-degree felonies, and one count of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Coble was originally charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies, and two counts trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felonies. Under the plea agreement, one of the aggravated trafficking charges and one of the trafficking charges were dismissed. The following cases had filings with the Auglaize County Clerk of Courts regarding cases being heard in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court by Judge Frederick Pepple: Jason M. Pryor, 26, pled guilty to one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. Pryor faces a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison. Anthony D. Fast, 28, of Celina, pled guilty to one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. Fast faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
