By JOSHUA KEERAN Sports Editor RIDGEMONT — The Waynesfield-Goshen varsity baseball team improved to .500 in the Northwest Central Conference with a convincing victory over Ridgemont on Thursday. The Tiger offense just missed 20 runs en route to a 19-3 run-rule victory in six innings.

Earning the victory for W-G was Nick Shaner, who struck out eight in six innings of work. He allowed three runs on three hits and four walks. The Tigers put the game away early by scoring 10 runs off the Ridgemont starter in just 1 1/3 innings. For the Tigers (4-14, 3-3), Shaner went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and five RBIs; Jami Horn was 2-for-2 with two RBIs; and Jake Sandusky went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and six stolen bases.
