CRIDERSVILLE — Students at Cridersville Elementary School building agree on one thing they like about their new school — it’s big.
“It’s nice, it’s clean, and it’s big,” a fourth-grader studying in Deb Eley’s classroom said.
Students seemed to find a common thread to every facet of the new building, even the bathrooms.
“I like the new bathrooms— those things are huge,” Zac Winget said.

Toddler critical after crash
Tuesday, 15 September 2009
By KAREN CAMPBELL
Assistant Managing Editor
A 2-year-old Houston boy remained in critical condition Monday after a crash Saturday night on County Road 25A in Pusheta Township.
Sgt. Tom Brookhart with the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the toddler was not restrained in a child safety seat and was instead riding in the front passenger seat wearing a seatbelt.
Lloyd Jones was transported by St. Johns Rescue Squad to Lima Memorial Hospital and from there to Toledo Children’s Hospital, where he remained Monday.
His mother, Lela Jones, 35, also of Houston, had to be freed by mechanical means from the 2005 Buick Rendezvous she was driving.
She remained in stable but serious condition Monday at Lima Memorial Hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
It was unknown if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
According to a report from the Highway Patrol, Lela Jones was driving south on County Road 25A when she drove off
the left side of the road, drove south into a ditch, struck a concrete culvert and overturned.
The SUV she was driving sustained severe damage.
“Charges are still pending and will be forthcoming,” Brookhart said of the crash, which remains under investigation.
