By KAREN CAMPBELL Assistant Managing Editor A 31-year-old Wapakoneta woman was cited for disorderly conduct public intoxication after she was heard yelling by the Harrison Street Bridge construction site at 2:35 a.m. Saturday. A newspaper delivery man heard the woman yelling and called the police for assistance. Wapakoneta Police Chief Dave Webb said the female allegedly was arguing with a male in the area where the new bridge is being constructed. Elizabeth Seitz, 31, 508 Highland Ave., was highly intoxicated and covered in mud as she attempted to cross the Auglaize River. She lost both her shoes in the process. Officers gave her a ride home. Her 35-year-old boyfriend of Delphos was never located.
Wapakoneta Police Department • A 23-year-old Wapakoneta male claims he was assaulted by three females at 2:40 a.m. Sunday near Park and Pearl streets. According to the report: He said while he was walking home from the bar he advised the women, who were walking with one man, that it was not safe on the railroad tracks. They said he assaulted them and called them names. Their names were not available. • A resident in the first block of West Harrison Street called at 6:35 p.m. Sunday about what he believes to be drug activity going on at a nearby home. According to the report: The man, who declined to give his name, said there are a lot of teenage boys stopping at the house and waiting for a man in his 30s or 40s to come to the door. After he does, they leave 10 minutes later. Sunday there was a lot of activity, but the neighbor said it happens a lot after school, too, and he’s watched it for 2 1/2 years with the same man living there. It is the second such call police have gotten recently about the house. • Tyler Coon, 914 S. Blackhoof St., called at 1:45 a.m. Saturday to report the theft of DVDs and Xbox games from his house. According to the report: There is a suspect, but the incident remains under investigation. It did not involve someone breaking into the house. The items taken were valued at $230. • A resident of 409 E. Pearl St. reported at 2:40 p.m. Saturday that after her boyfriend and her got into a fight that she threw him out and he came back while she was at work and kicked in the back door. According to the incomplete report: No arrests were made in the incident reported by Mattie Dennis. No additional information was available. • A 51-year-old Wapakoneta man was cited for driving with an open container at 6:45 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of East Pearl Street after an officer on routine patrol stopped him for a cracked window. According to the report: David Metzger, 415 Infirmary Road, was not found to be under the influence. • A Wapakoneta father brought his daughter on station at 11:05 a.m. Friday to complain about a picture she received on her cell phone. According to the report: The graphic picture was of the male anatomy with a message that said “Don’t give up on me baby. I love you. Never forget it.” The message was tracked back to a 25-year-old man who said he meant the message to go to his girlfriend. • A resident of 106 1/2 Park St. reported at 1:35 p.m. Saturday that her car was vandalized. According to the report: Courtney Whetstone, 21, had a broken rear taillight on her 1994 Ford and it appeared to have been scratched with a key from the passenger side rear to front. She thought it may have been done by someone leaving the bar. • Karen King, 608 Court St., reported at 11:10 a.m. Saturday that someone busted out the back window of a vehicle belonging to Rocky King. According to the report: Something was thrown through the window of the 1990 Ford Fiesta while it was parked near the residence. The window was shattered but nothing taken.
