Vickie D. McCollum, 53, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:47 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Lima Memorial health System. She was born in Lima, the daughter of Carl and Barbara Jean (Newland) Martin. Her mother, Barbara Jean Norman, survives in Wapakoneta, and her father is deceased. She was married to Gary McCollum, and he is deceased.

Other survivors include, a daughter, Chelsie (David) Comer, of Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Maria and Carter; siblings, Gregory Martin, Derrick (Connie) Martin, Mike (Amy) Martin, David (Amanda) Martin, Brenda Martin, Paula Roy (dec.), Jozee (Ben) Smith, Penny (Keith) Wiseman, Janie Knittle and Carol (Matt) Koenig; and step-mother, Nancy Martin.

Vickie was a homemaker and a florist. She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included playing cards, Yahtzee, fishing and family cookouts. 

Services will be held 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at the Long & Folk Chapel, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed the American Cancer Society.
