United Way nears mark

November 25, 2013

With a little more than a month left in the United Way of Auglaize County’s 2014 campaign, pledges received total approximately 75 percent of the $325,000 goal.
That goal is in reach, United Way of Auglaize County Executive Director Randy Fisher said, if anticipated pledges are received and if members of the local community also consider making a donation.
“While we have great support from businesses and industries throughout the community, and have seen a number of new donations come in from businesses in the county, we are hoping that people who may not have access to payroll deduction consider giving a donation to the United Way,” Fisher said. “When we say our member agencies have provided assistance to one in every two residents of Auglaize County, that’s a lot of benefits being provided. The financial assistance the United Way gives our member agencies touch a lot of lives and that’s why we need the financial resources we do.”
