Twilia L. Elsass, 69, of rural Anna, died at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
She was born Aug. 2, 1943, in Allen County, the daughter of Fentrus (Rostorfer) and Donald L. Oakley, who preceded her in death. On June 5, 1965, she married Ivan P. Elsass, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Elsass, of Port Jefferson, and Douglas (Adrienne) Elsass, of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Teresa (Charles) Dille, of Lebanon, and Kimberly (Mark) Azbell, of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Samuel Dille, Kristen Dille, Kendra Azbell, Jacob Azbell, Annabelle Elsass, and Hayden Elsass; two step-grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, and Nevin Stansy; two brothers, Donald L. (Loretta) Oakley Jr., of Urbana, and Lynn (Rosie) Oakley, of New Knoxville; and a sister, Vickie Schweitzer, of Sidney.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Oakley; and a brother-in-law, Ron Schwietzer.
A homemaker, Twilia had worked as a custodian at the Botkins Local Schools for 18 years. She was the former owner of the Wapak Coffee Shop, and had worked as a clerk at JC Penny Co. in Wapakoneta. She also did babysitting. Her hobbies included gardening, crafts, building doll houses, and most especially spending time with her family. Twilia had attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Botkins.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Botkins, with the Rev. Bob Carter officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., today at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
