Twila A. Stevens, 79, of Cridersville, died 9:35 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. Twila was formerly of Wapakoneta. She was born April 29, 1934 in Ada to Lloyd and Bessie Mull Candler. She married Richard E. â€śDickâ€ť Stevens Jan. 12, 1951, and he preceded her in death June 18, 2010.
Mrs. Stevens had been a homemaker and enjoyed antiques, baking, gardening, garage sales, playing cards and camping. She was a former girl scout leader.
Survivors include a son, Â Richard E. (Karen) Stevens, Jr., of Celina; two daughters, Cheryl A. Stevens and Teresa Lyn (Anthony) Allen, both of Wapakoneta; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Elwanda Casper, of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son, Â David A. Stevens; three brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Bayliff & Son, Cridersville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at the funeral home with Rev. D. Lynn Fox officiating and burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
