Turkeyfoot events benefit hospice

INDIAN LAKE — The annual parade and auction hosted by the Turkeyfoot Benefit Crew, an organization which has raised more than $400,000 since its inception for area hospice facilities, is kicking off Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Indian Lake.

The event generates funds for four hospice facilities, including Community Health Professionals Tri-County Hospice in Wapakoneta.

“It’s just so generous — it’s totally volunteer,”  Marketing and volunteer coordinator Niki DuVall, with CHP Tri-county Hospice, said about the Turkeyfoot Benefit Crew. “They just do this out of the goodness of their hearts, and we couldn’t be more thankful that we’re one of the (organizations) that benefit from it.”
