A multi-vehicle injury accident occurred yesterday afternoon in the southbound lanes of I-75 at milepost 115 in Auglaize County, just North of state Route 67. Officials report injuries as non-life threatening.
The accident, involving four semi tractor trailers, caused stopped traffic along the interstate at 1:33 p.m. and forced Ohio State Highway Patrol to reroute southbound traffic through exit 118.
The accident, caused by trucks following each other too closely, started at the entrance of the construction zone near the Cridersville.
Tejinder S. Grewal, 26, of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, was slowing his semi truck for traffic while entering the construction zone.
David G. Smith, 51, of Wapakoneta, failed to slow his semi in time and struck Grewalâ€™s vehicle in the trailer.
Michael E. Nunley, 41, of Bon Secour, Ala., was following Smith too closely in his semi and could not avoid striking Smithâ€™s trailer.

54, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., could not slow in time and struck Nunley in his tractor trailer. Huffmanâ€™s vehicle continued off the left side of the roadway. The trailer overturned and came to rest on its side.
Nunley and Smith were transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Emergency Management Agency, Wapakoneta Fire and EMS, Cridersville Fire and EMS and St. Johnâ€™s Fire and EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
