Subway robber sentenced

The Auglaize County Court sentenced the man responsible for the aggravated robbery of the Subway restaurant located at 1401 Bellefontaine St. in Wapakoneta.

Steven D. Anschuetz, 58, of National City, Mich., was indicted on one count each of aggravated robbery and theft stemming from the Feb. 10 incident. After fleeing the scene, regional law enforcement was able to match a vehicle description on southbound Interstate 75, and proceeded to take Anscheutz into custody.

Anscheutz entered a change of plea and as part of the plea agreement the court dismissed the charge of theft.

It is the court’s decision Anscheutz is guilty of the felony of the second degree charge of robbery.

It is the sentence of the court Anscheutz be incarcerated with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, in Orient, for three years, followed consecutively by four years. Anscheutz has a jail time credit of 165 days to his name.
