The state football championships games will stay in Columbus one more year through 2016, the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday morning.

The original contract put the games in Ohio Stadium for 2014 and 2015. The OHSAA intended to return them to Stark County in 2016, but construction at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium (formerly Fawcett Stadium) in Canton is not expected to end until 2017.

So in 2016, for the third straight year, "The Horseshoe" will host seven games in a three-day stretch in early December.
