Mother’s Day is tomorrow and the Daily News wanted to know your plans, favorite memories and what makes your mother the best of the best, so we asked a few random community members and here is what they had to say:
Diane Hollingsworth of Chattanooga, Tenn. is in Wapakoneta visiting her mother and grandmother for Mother’s Day. While on a shopping trip at Casa Chic with her mom Charlene Koch, Diane shared what their plans for Mother’s Day are.
“Going out to eat, just spending time with her,” Hollingsworth said. “And my grandmother who is 95.”
When asked what makes Charlene the best mom, Diane said she could go on for days.
“Oh my gosh, we could be in here for days,” Hollingsworth said. “First of all, I’m adopted, and I just can’t imagine being adopted by anybody else. She’s given me everything. I guess from the day she brought me home. I don’t know, I just can’t imagine anybody else being my mom I guess.”
Charlene said she can’t remember any particular Mother’s Day, but spending time with her children who live out-of-state is always nice.
“Not one in particular stand out,” Koch said. “Sometimes I go down to Tennessee to visit her. I get flowers from my son usually because he lives out of state also.”
Charlene said it means a lot to her to have Diane come up and visit on Mother’s Day.
