The Wapakoneta Redskins rebounded from their lone Western Buckeye League loss with a 174-182 road win Thursday over WBL foe, the Shawnee Indians, in varsity boys golf play.

Wapak’s Bobby Crow was Thursday’s match medalist with a 40. Drew Wayman followed with a 42. Only those two players had previously played at the Shawnee Country Club.

Nick Bruns and Jared Miller each carded 46 to finish Wapak’s scoring. Alex Gossard (52) and Wesley Ruedebusch (53) also played for the Redskins.

“The scores were little high but again we will take the win especially a road win any way we can,” Wapak varsity coach Kenny Wayman said. “When you win on the road, it’s always a big win."

The win moved Wapak to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the WBL.

Wapak will host Celina in WBL action at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Wapakoneta Country Club.

Cole Jordan was Shawnee’s lowest scorer Thursday at 44.
